MONTANA Commanding Officer September Events Shaping Up (posted 8/7/18)

Excitement is building for the September 20-23 visit to Montana by the commanding officer of the future USS MONTANA, Commander Michael Delaney. With him will be a Montana crew member, Electronics Technician (Nuclear) Second Class Evan Glenn of Bozeman.

Details of the public events to be held in Billings, Helena, Great Falls, and Missoula continue to be finalized. The will be shared as they are available.

One highlight of the visit will be the introduction of CMDR Delaney and crew member Evan Glenn of Bozeman will be an introduction at the Saturday, September 22, Grizzly home football game.

The PCU MONTANA SSN 794 pair will also meet with state officials and veterans.

Thursday, September 20 – Billings

An evening public reception event is being co-sponsored by area Rotary Clubs. Contact is Monty Wallis at 406.672.5492.

Friday, September 21 – Helena and Great Falls

There will be a noon lunch at the Montana Club in Helena. Stay tuned for details.

In Great Falls, in cooperation with the U.S. Submarine Veterans, Inc., Montana Base, there will be an evening dinner. Details and reservation information are included in the flyer that may be accessed HERE.

Saturday, September 22 – Missoula

There will be a casual evening dinner buffet event at the Missoula Country Club. See the flyer HERE for details and reservation information.
